could I ask for advice regarding using walking stick in the snow Options

Could I ask people that use a walking stick - does the snow/ice effect you with your stick?
Not sure if I should use my stick or notConfused

Heavy snow due in the morning.....flurries at the moment!

hi, i put a small baby sock over the stopper held on with a rubber band in the ice and snow,looks a bit daft but i try not to go out on my own if poss,dorothy

I know you can get ice/snow grippers to go over your shoes, they work really well but take care with your stick. You can buy anti-slip tape that you could wrap round the bottom if you can get it to stay on.

Other than that don't go far unless you really have to.

I've been doing ok outside with stick, I think when snow turns to ice I will bling my stickRazz

TOP TIP:
I've been using my walking stick to "lie down" on the roof of my car & hubby and gently glide the snow off!! It worksLOL although my hubby thought I was going to beat his car up!Tongue
Saves energy and lots of scooping snow off the car!LOL

Hi Jane - that sounds fun in the snow - I can just see you on top of car pelting hubbe with snowballs - go on you know you want to!!!!! Haha.
